Gemini’s new model will use your search history for better personalization | Infinium-tech
Google is working on a new Gemini model that will use your search history for better privatization. This has come out today through a tear of the latest beta of Google app.
As the screenshot below shows, it will be called “Gemini with personal reference” or only the model selector will be “privatization” in the top.
It appears to be opt-in, at least initially, and if you go for it, it promises to offer “personal support based on your Google search history”. Google emphasizes that only this special model will be associated with your search history if you allow it.
When using the model, you can also disconnect it from your history as shown in the screenshot on the right. This model provides accurate results based on your discovery history, at least if you ask it very clearly as if you show your history or if you ask it about the specific things you have discovered.
Of course, this will be even more useful if it can include your discovery history in the answers to more common questions, as it should “better” you, given your access to your history and tailor its reactions especially for you. This is our perception, at least, but it remains to be seen how Google will give this model a position once official, which can be very soon.
