Gemini can now import your chat history from other AI chatbots | Infinium-tech
AI chatbots have become an intrinsic part of our online activity, and as always, there are distinct camps. Some use ChatGPT while others prefer Cloud or Google’s Gemini. These chatbots are programmed to learn from your behavior, interests, and past interactions to provide you with more relevant information and answers. So if you decide to switch from one AI service to another, you’ll have to start from the beginning, as your chat history will no longer be available.

Google is making the switch a lot easier with the latest update to Gemini. The company has now added a new Import Memory tool that lets you import your chat history from other AI chatbots.
Clicking the “Import Memory into Gemini” button generates a prompt that you need to paste into your current chatbot. Then copy the response, paste it into Gemini’s import tool text box and voila!

This gives Gemini access to your personal preferences collected by its other chatbots, which will in turn help Gemini generate more relevant and personalized responses.
Alternatively, you can export your chat history from other chatbots and upload it to Gemini, but Google’s AI assistant supports zip files up to 5GB.
However, keep in mind that Gemini will not be able to import project files or other attachments.
