This means the Galaxy S26 will launch a full month later than the Galaxy S25 generation, which was announced on January 22, 2025. According to speculations, the February launch is due to a last-minute call by Samsung to cancel the Galaxy S26 Edge and replace it with the Galaxy S26+.

The Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra are expected to come with higher price tags than their predecessors in some markets. A recent report suggests that the Galaxy S26 could be KRW 44,000 ($30) to KRW 88,000 ($60) more expensive than the Galaxy S25. This may not be the case in other regions like the US, where Samsung is expected to maintain the same base price for its S26 devices.
