First Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 smartphone is coming next week | Infinium-tech
Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 4S Gen 2 chipset in July, aiming to create very affordable 5G devices. And Xiaomi confirmed that it will be the first to launch a smartphone powered by this SoC.
Now the time of revelation is near. The first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 4S Gen 2 is said to go official at the India Mobile Congress 2024 on October 16.
From this you can guess that this handset will be sold in India. It’s still unclear which device that will be, but given the chip’s focus on affordability, we’re betting on a Redmi of some sort – possibly part of the 13 series.
The Redmi 13C is already available in India for under Rs 10,000, but it is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ SoC. Perhaps the new model will be a version of that. We will find out in a few days.
