ChatGPT can now replace Gemini on Android | Infinium-tech
With the latest beta updates of the Chatgpt app for Android, Openai-developed chatbot can now turn Gemini as your default digital assistant on Android.
If you undergo this stage, you will be able to invite the chatgate by pressing the home button for a long time (if you use three-button navigation bar) or swipe from the bottom corner (if you use gesture navigation). If you have that settings capable, you can also deliver the power button to bring it for a long time.
Chat as Default Digital Assistant App
If you invite Chatgpt using these methods, it will be automatically launched in your voice mode. That said, you cannot use a hotword (like you can “hey, Google” for Gemini) to chat, because it will require access to some privileged APIs that are available only for reliable, presented apps.
It is not clear how much time it will take to get it out of beta, so if you are not using the beta version of the Chatgpt app for Android, then you may still need a wait to use Chatgpt instead of Gemini. But this is coming.
