AppleCare+ becomes subscription-only, prepaid models are no more | Infinium-tech
Applecare+ will dig a certain period of plan and will only run for membership. The report came from Mark Gurman in this last weekend, and Apple is already taking decisions.
According to a report, third-party retailers are no longer offering prepaid models, and it is only available on Apple’s website, where we hope it will disappear soon.
Applecare is a limited warranty of one year and free technical support of 90 days. This covers hardware defects, failures or dead pixels, but does not cover damage from handling, such as a screen cracked with droplets.
Applecare+ covers casual damage and battery deficiency, and 24/7 preference for technical support. There is also an additional addition to a plan covering theft and loss.
Apple iPad Pro 11 ”(2024)
Currently, Applecare+ includes iPhone, iPad, MAC model, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro and Apple display. Products that are not protected are small gadgets such as Airtags, apple pencils, keyboards and rats.
The indefinite cover was introduced in 2021, and it is $ 13.99 per month (involved theft and loss) for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max (or $ 139.99 for a year $ 139.99). Fixed-term coverage is a better deal over a long period, and we can see why Apple will remove it-it is more profitable only, but it is easy to change the price when leaving.
