Apple Watch Series 10 teardown reveals disappointing repairability | Infinium-tech

apple watch series 10 Launched last month and now it’s finally time for us to see it from the inside. That’s because iFixit has published its video teardown of the 46mm version, and it’s quite fascinating.

To get into the clock you have to take advantage of the .176mm gap, and just keep prying, prying, prying, and prying – after heat has already been applied. The teardown reveals a 327mAh battery capacity and the massive size of the Taptic Engine – that’s equivalent to a third of the size of the battery.

As for the battery, it’s held in place by glue – just the usual kind, nothing fancy. The sensor is very difficult to repair, and the sheer size of the Apple Watch makes any repair very difficult indeed. That’s why iFixit has given it only a repairability score of 3 out of 10, where 0 would be the lowest and 10 would be the most easily repairable.
