Apple seeds first iOS 26.5 beta to developers | Infinium-tech
Apple has released the first developer beta of iOS 26.5, along with iPadOS 26.5, macOS 26.5, VisionOS 26.5, and watchOS 26.5. This comes just a week after the company released the stable iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 updates to users.
The iOS 26.5 beta 1 update introduces some minor changes along with several bug fixes. According to the release notes, developers will also see new purchasing options in the App Store.

The update is said to include a ‘Suggested Places’ section in the Maps app, which is in line with Apple’s recent effort to incorporate ads into the platform. This will appear inside the search box within the app.
iOS 26.5 beta also brings RCS messaging, Live Activity support for third-party accessories in the EU, improved accessory pairing, and a new Inuktitut keyboard layout. This makes reference to a new ‘Year in Review for 2026’ feature in Apple Books, as well as introducing advanced options for sharing message attachments between iPhone and Android.
