Apple might finally allow users to transfer eSIM to Android | Infinium-tech
In the last few years, the phone has become quite easy to switch, but a major obstacle that has still been made is transferring ESIMS. It presented an additional barrier when switching to Android from the iPhone, but it is about to change.
As Android authorityApple is preparing a feature for iOS 19 that will allow users to easily move their ESIM profile from iPhone to Android. A string in the code shows that the feature will be called “transfer to Android”, which is available in settings.

The string suggests that a new QR code will be generated, allowing the Android phone to only scan the code and add ESIM (as is now). A line also suggests that only iOS 19 (or later) phones will be allowed to move its profile to Android.
Currently, all the Apple smartphones sold in the United States are only ESIMs, meaning that there is no physical slot for SIM cards. Users have to contact their carrier to obtain an individual QR code, which is extremely inconvenient for all sides.
WWDC is scheduled for 9–13 June, so we should hear details about this feature in about two weeks time.
