Another Spotify price hike is coming to the US | Infinium-tech
Spotify is raising the price for its Premium subscription again in the US (along with Estonia and Latvia). The new fee will be $12.99 per month, $1 more than the previous $11.99. The new pricing will take effect from your billing date in February. The Duo plan will increase from $16.99 to $18.99, the Family plan will increase to $21.99 (previously $19.99), while the Student plan will increase from $5.99 to $6.99.
Sure, an extra $1 or $2 per month isn’t much, but the constant racking up of different subscriptions can be nothing but annoying. The message you can see below will be sent to customers affected by the latest increase.

Spotify believes that “periodic updates to pricing” in its markets “reflect the value” it provides, allowing it to “continue to provide the best possible experience” and benefit artists (this means the extra $1 goes directly to artists, but that’s not the case, it doesn’t work that way).
