Android 15 release date leaks | Infinium-tech
Google has already sent the Android 15 code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), but it hasn’t yet released the update for its supported Pixels. It’s rumored to arrive next month, and today we finally get an alleged release date.
According to a new report, Google will begin the over-the-air rollout of the Android 15 update for Pixels on October 15. The report also comes with the caveat that things could change between now and then, especially if some show-stopping bugs are found in the meantime.
Android 15 will be available for Pixel 6 and newer devices. Hopefully with the delayed release (compared to AOSP), whatever comes will be fully ready and devoid of any serious issues.
Android 15 will also come to the new Pixel 9 devices, which were announced in August, breaking with the tradition of unveiling new Pixels in October. Thus, the Pixel 9 models came with Android 14 on day one and will get Android 15 on October 15 (how fitting) like every other supported Pixel.
