Amazon Alexa is getting a generative AI upgrade later this month | Infinium-tech

Amazon was an early proposer in the “Digital Assistant” field with Alexon, which was supported by cheap but competent hardware – smart speakers, smart displays and lots of goods for them. But it has allowed Alexa to stabilize for many years, in terms of both features and profitability.

Now, Amazon will take advantage of large -scale reforms that AILECT AI has brought Alexa to the table to make it smart. This will be done in partnership with the manufacturers of Anthropic, Cloud AI, which according to the internal sources talking inside Roots (Amazon has invested $ 8 billion in anthropic).

For the new Alexa, Amazon allegedly considered charging $ 5 to $ 10 per month for it, although initially it could provide a limited number of users for free. Bank of America analysts estimate that the new service may bring $ 600 million per year if 10% of Alexa’s current active users sign up for $ 5/month membership. This will certainly help Alexa with issues of profitability.

Inner sources said that Amazon officials will meet on February 14 as to how to move forward. If they give green lights, a program will be held on 26 February, which will focus on Alexa. The incident will feature Microsoft Surface and Panos Pane of Windows 11 fame.
