All iPhone 18 models and the iPhone Air 2 are now rumored to get this improvement | Infinium-tech
Apple has long been rumored to be getting rid of the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, but a new rumor recently claimed that won’t be the case, and instead, they’ll just have a smaller Dynamic Island.
Today, a new Ice Universe rumor out of China brings some more context. According to him, it won’t be just professionals who will get the smaller Dynamic Island – but the entire line, including the iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2.

The screen bezels, on the other hand, will remain exactly as they are on the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air respectively. So the only (virtually) user-faced with (take him?) Small pill-shaped hole-punch will improve the dynamic island.
Of course, all devices should also get a chip upgrade, as is tradition in Apple-land. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are rumored to arrive alongside the iPhone Fold (or is that the iPhone Ultra?) this autumn, while the iPhone 18 may launch alongside the iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2 next spring.
